After three intensive months of collaboration through the residency organised by V2_ as part of RiT, the seven artists and creators awarded could show the results of their work in Linz.

Matadero Madrid, center of contemporary creations belonging to Madrid City Council’s Department of Culture, has presented the line-up for the sixth year of L.E.V. Matadero. The Festival of Visual Electronics and Extended Realities, arranged by Matadero Madrid and curated by L.E.V. (Laboratorio de Electrónica Visual), will take place from September 18 to 22 2024.

The 7th edition of Immersity took place on 27 and 28 March 2024 and brought together in Angoulême, at the invitation of the Pôle Image Magelis, all the professionals exploring new forms of immersive storytelling. Writers, directors, technicians and producers came together for case studies and conferences.

L.E.V. Festival (Laboratorio de Electrónica Visual), after revealing the line-up of live shows and audiovisual & performative installations, announces the rest of activities for its 18th edition: four experiences around extended realities, in a collaboration with Realities in Transition, which include the two VR works Red Tail and Uncanny Alley; the AR experience Slow Walker, and a workshop for teenagers about Metaverses and musical creation with PatchXR.

The exhibition Metaverses: realities in transition is based on the premise that virtual environments are a reality increasingly present in our lives. Inaugurated within the framework of the L.E.V Matadero festival in Madrid, it shows a selection of alternative metaverses proposed by and for artists, mainly developed during the COVID19 international crisis as an example of new spaces of creation and resilience, and promoted by several international cultural institutions.

On December 16th, Aurélie Delater, coordinator of Realities in Transition for Chroniques, presented the project, its activities and opportunities, to artists and cultural actors at the exhibition Chroma Flora in the Estufa Fria (Cold Greenhouse) of the Botanic Garden of Lisbon.

John (Iannis) Bardakos’ lecture for the XR lunch event Shifting Cosmologies IV: More Than Human XR is entitled “Processes from Transformations: Techno-Alchemic Journeys from Spaces, Places, and Topoi”.

Following the success of its Biennale des Imaginaires Numériques 2022 and as part of its annual program, CHRONIQUES, a historic player in digital creation, joins forces with the City of Aix-en-Provence and the Maison internationale des écritures contemporaines (MéCA, Aix-en-Provence) to present Dernière minute, an immersive installation by Adrien M & Claire B.

From September 21 to 24, Matadero Madrid organizes a new year of the festival, with the most innovative experimental projects in the fields of electronic sound creation, audiovisual creation, digital art and extended realities, both Spanish and international.
