Virtual Landscapes” being the first VR exhibition to take place in the MEDIALAB, the goals was also to write a protocol for the reception of the general public in the context of a virtual reality exhibition. A six-page protocol was developed, detailing a point-by-point note of the various gestures to ensure a good experience for the public, the basis for a guided tour, a technical step-by-step “in case of technical difficulties”, and to conclude, details on the headsets used. This protocol, which is intended to be reused for the rest of the MEDIALAB’s VR programming, will allow any mediator on the team to welcome the public in ideal conditions.

This exhibition was open from the 11th November to the 1st December 2022. It was open every afternoon from Tuesday to Saturday, from 2pm to 6pm, and was open to all audiences. The VR headsets used were four Oculus Quest 2 and 1 Oculus Rift. The exhibition was very well received by the public as a way to discover modern works in VR, or for some of them to experience VR for the very first time.
